Bobtails will finally close 1st November 2022 and cease admitting animals from 1st October 2022, our residents will of course remain with us for the remainder of their lives as we have made the commitment to care for them.

Nizhoni - 9/14/2019

Exciting news about Nizhoni - she has been bonded with a pair of neutered males called George (a 10 year old, three legged rabbit) and his partner Jeremy who is a similar age to Nizhoni. She is now in her forever home, living a life of luxury as a very spoilt house bunny.

THE GUINEA PIG ''BARGAIN BUCKET'' - 8/9/2010

BOBTAILS TAKE IN DOMESTICATED BABY RABBITS FOUND WANDERING IN UNIVERSITY - 7/25/2010

We received a call from a local vet who needed to find a rescue to take two baby bunnies found wandering on a university campus. The member of staff who spotted them managed to catch the two babies, who we have called Teasel and Mallow, but couldn’t catch the mum despite her very best efforts. Teasel and Mallow, who we estimate to be 3 weeks old, are beginning to nibble on dried food but still rely on the syringe feeds we are giving them. People seem to think that setting unwanted bunnies free is kind – it is not. These domesticated pets have nowhere to go and are just a free meal for the fox. Please don’t do it! Instead, do the decent thing for the pet you are responsible for and contact your local rescue.
