Bunny dumped on our doorstep - 1/25/2010
We thought that DHL had left us a parcel on the edge of the doorstep last Wednesday (20th January) but when we picked up the unsecure cardboard box we realised that it contained a rabbit. There was no note or phone call so it was extremely lucky we were home and that we found the bunny before the fox did. The bunny is a beautiful un-neutered tan dwarf lop and we have named her Nebula, because our name theme for this month is planets and the solar system. We have no information regarding her age, history or medical information. She is very very frightened at the moment and because she is un-neutered she is hormonal and is displaying aggression. She is getting lots of tlc and we are giving her the time and patience that she needs. She will also be neutered soon, which will help with her temperament.
If you would like to donate to Nebula’s care, you can help feed her in our eBay shop – search eBay for “feed Nebula” and you will find her. We will keep the website updated regarding her progress.
We would like to ask the person who dumped Nebula to contact us to provide us with some information about her – you can leave an anonymous message on our answer phone. If anybody reading this is considering dumping their animal we would like to say please please please don’t do it. There are too many foxes around the area and a box is not secure, also we may not be in and the box may be outside until we come home or even outside all night. Please contact us so that we can make proper arrangements.
If you are wanting to adopt rabbits or guinea pigs, please check the website for the animals we have available for adoption.
